Whether your style is modern, Hamptons, contemporary or more traditional, the look and feel of your house facade should showcase your unique style and set the tone for the rest of your home — so it’s important to get it right!

To help inspire and guide your house design, read on to discover our eight contemporary house facades and their unique features below.

What is a facade on a house?

So, what is a facade on a house?

The facade, to put it simply, is the front of your home. Based on the French word “façade” meaning “frontage” or “face”, the facade tells people more about you — your style, your flare and your approach to interior design.

We know that first impressions count, which is why we have eight contemporary home facades for you to choose from! We can almost guarantee we have a modern house facade that matches your unique sense of style.

From cladding to Moroka, timber, brick and Hebel, we offer an array of materials and design choices that showcase your unique style.

Take a look at our favourite new home facades and find your dream design now – read on!

Our contemporary house facades

1. Hamptons Facade

One of the most desirable contemporary house facades on trend at the moment is the chic yet welcoming finish of the Hamptons facade. Defined by a soft natural palette, a mixture of external elements such as cladding, decorative battens and cultured stone, this modern home facade ensures you always receive a refreshing, welcoming vibe when you return home.

See the single-storey Hamptons facade on the Avalon 2 249 for some inspiration!

2. Retro Facade

If you’re looking to stand out from the crowd, then the Retro facade is for you. Unlike other modern house styles, this modern home facade makes a statement with its minimalistic-inspired skillion roof which can be enjoyed from every angle. Once inside the home, you and your family can reap the benefits of raked ceilings, which provide your home with extra height throughout the foyer and living spaces.

See the Shorehaven 263 above with its skillion roof facade — a true stand-out from the scenery, especially if you’re looking for a contemporary facade with extra style points.

3. Grande Facade

True to its name, the Grande facade has an impressive outlook with its majestic textures and its pitched ceiling porch. Coupled with cultured stone and double pillars and you have one striking modern house facade!

We used this classic facade on our Ridgeview 321 display home. Chic and traditional, anyone would love to call the Ridgeview and its modern stone facade home!

4. Executive Facade

The Executive facade provides a mixture of interesting elements such as render, Moroka finish, cladding and cultured stone — it’s easy to see why this is one of our most popular facade choices. This unique mix of materials makes it one of our standout modern facades for a huge range of tastes!

See the Executive facade on the Byron 250 — one of our most stylish contemporary house facades. The cultured stone pillar creates a modern coastal facade almost instantly.

Bondi 249 - Cosmo

5. Cosmo Facade

This traditional house facade — The Cosmo — will provide a timeless look for years to come. The abundance of natural lighting from corner to corner will not only save on energy bills but it’ll also bring in warmth and vitamin D, helping to make your home feel inviting all year round.

The Cosmo facade on the Bondi 249 (pictured above) features a warm timber door and multiple glass panels — this is easily one of our favourite home facade design ideas.

Brighton 229 with Vogue facade

6. Vogue Facade

Defined by the unique shapes utilised within the textures, modern facade design materials and windows, the Vogue facade will no doubt catch the eye of pedestrians as they walk by. If you’re after ultimate street appeal, then this contemporary facade is for you.

The Vogue facade on the Brighton 229 (pictured above) oozes elegance and style. With dark house facade colours and large, spacious windows on the top floor, you’ll always feel classy coming home to the Brighton 229.

Avoca 173 - Metro

7. Metro Facade

Perfect for first-home buyers and those who appreciate a classic look, our Metro facade is a truly traditional design that you will love for years to come.

The Metro facade will complement any suburb or estate and is typically executed with a classic mix of brick and a tiled roof. We added the Metro facade to the Avoca 173 to demonstrate the modern elegance of this classic facade. If you’re looking for classic, timeless single-storey house facade ideas then building a contemporary home on a budget has never been simpler with the Avoca 173 metro facade.

8. Manhattan Facade

Our ultra-modern house facade, the Manhattan, executes a bold box look and is defined by straight lines and cube-like shapes.

This minimalist modern house facade incorporates a striking mix of Hebel, a versatile product providing a render look at a fraction of the cost. Hebel panels also perform well thermally and keep your house cool in summer and warm in winter.

We utilised the Manhattan facade on the Cayman 287 (pictured above). Mixing render and tile with contemporary house colours like black, grey and white, the Manhattan facade stands out in the best of ways.
